We are very pleased to welcome Donna de Winter to the Board of Directors. Donna brings significant strategic financing, business strategy with operations and financial experience and we are thrilled to have her as part of our ongoing journey.
Donna is an industry veteran with leading roles in major Canadian companies. Her impressive background includes tenures as CFO at Vision Critical and Varicent (acquired by IBM), CFO and CEO at Nexient Learning, and CFO at GEAC (acquired by Golden Gate Capital).
She is currently the CFO at Rubikcloud Technologies, a Toronto-based company that empowers retailers to leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data systems accelerating business impact. Donna also holds an MBA from the University of Toronto.
“I joined tealbook because I believe the optimization of the B2B marketplace hinges on building a high integrity, sustainable virtual database of market participants (buyers and suppliers) that can deliver vetted and relevant supplier data to buyers on demand,” says Donna. “The procurement cycle needs this disruption to extract more value in less time from the marketplace. tealbook has built the technology to be that disruptor. tealbook’s CEO, Stephany Lapierre, has tremendous experience as a stakeholder in the supply chain process and this DNA has been injected into the AI, ML and base functions of the technology.”
The excellent fit of Donna’s leadership at tealbook is echoed by Stephany Lapierre. “tealbook has been fortunate to attract best-in-class talent and leadership. Having Donna join our Board of Directors is strong validation that we have a unique opportunity to win in an industry ripe for disruption by bringing intelligence, speed and trust to B2B partnerships,” she says. “Donna’s extensive experience at fast-growing technology companies translates into the leadership and credibility required to help us reach new milestones.”
Donna will be working with our executive team on tealbook’s strategic plan for raising capital needed to build and grow the network effect and next round of funding.
